MEET THE OWNER

Shawn Gold

Shawn's mantra is "Unity Through Community" and he truely lives his life to it. Shawn is a retired navy veteran who served from 1988-1992 including a tour in Desert Storm. After his service he was a Journeymen Boilermaker 12 years and then continued his giving to his fellow servicemen by working for the VA Hospital for 11 years.

For the better part of the last decade Shawn has been building businesses to help educate and bring together the community that surrounds him. Starting in 2016 when he co-founded East Coast MELT. MELT is a glass blowing convention where the best glass blowing artist in the world come together annually to encourage collaboration and not competition between the artists. This mentality helps progress the glass blowing scene by having artists of all skill levels working together.

In 2017 Shawn started Goldfinger Holdings LLC which is a real estate company that buys historical, commercial and residential properties such as the Coexist Gallery and a residential building across the street. 

Then on January 1st 2018 Coexist Gallery LLC opened. Since the opening of the Gallery, Shawn has organized the community and artists to wrap the entire building in a Mixed Media Mosaic that makes the building stand out like a beacon on front street in Steelton, PA. He is also in the process of opening the Melted Pot Coffee Shop which is located inside the Gallery which will feature unique and classic coffee's, smoothies, snacks and desserts. 

He has also brought together community members and started the Steelton Historical Society. The society is going to start an historical walking tour of Steelton which will include mosaics all around town. Also a Museum and YouTube channel are in the works!

 

MEET THE EMPLOYEES

Matt Ginter

Matt started with Coexist Gallery as a part-time employee back in November 2018 and is now the Gallery Manager, a Central PA native with 10 years of experience working in glass galleries. He loves connecting collectors with a piece of art that best fits their personality and interests that they will cherish forever. Matt also has a passion tie-dye and you will always find him in the Gallery with a tie-dyed shirt!

 

 

Myra Menzer

Myra has been with us since 2021. She is a valuable member of our team with tons of knowledge and a wide array of skills! She has been putting a ton of effort into the completion of the mosaic on both the inside and outside our building. Myra currently has rings, bracelets and pendants and other products she personally hand crafts that we carry in the Gallery!
